Sean Cook found his passion in photography when working as a graphic designer for a fashion magazine in the 1990s. Seeing other photographers working with different people and travelling around the world, he made the decision to become one of them. One day, he walked towards the chief editor’s desk and told her, “I’m working as a photographer for you now”. “No you are not”, she replied. “Yes I am.” “No you are not. You are my art director”. “Yes I am. I will work for free”. “Okay then”, she agreed. Sean started working as a photographer during the day time (for free) and caught up with his graphic design tasks at night time. One year later, he left the magazine and took off on his journey as a professional photographer.
